C.D. Witherspoon (African American Democratic Club of Baltimore), Philip Leaf, Ph.D. (Johns Hopkins University Center for the Prevention of Youth Violence), Michael Eugene Johnson (Paul Robeson Institute for Social Advancement), Marcus "Strider" Dent (Baltimore Chapter Commander, Guardian Angels), a woman from University of Baltimore Black Student Union, Matthew Weinstein (Baltimore Region Director, Progressive Maryland), Cameron Miles (Director of Organizing, Advocates for Children & Youth), Henry Burris (Vulcan Blazers of Baltimore City, Inc.), and Rev. Dr. Cleveland T.A. Mason (Perkins Square Baptist Church). Letters submitted by Marietta English (President, Baltimore Teachers Union) and Dr. Loretta Johnson (President, American Federation of Teachers - Maryland), who could not attend, are read. Also includes comments by Fred Ihezie (Baltimore Algebra Project/Peer-to-Peer Youth Enterprises) after the event.
